I have read so many articles labeling the adults who move to their parent's houses and work in the same cities to save on rent and other unnecessary expenses. It is not wrong to try to save and never be broke. The way I think of the whole situation is that it is not in our control where we are born and the economical conditions of our home city. Some of us really wish to live with their parents and take care of them in the process. Who says that only after you are married is that you are allowed to think of family and sticking with them. Even single youngsters want to stay with their parents and relieve them of their responsibilities and save for their future.
I personally don't want to live away from my parents and I can gladly list out the reasons why?
1. Loneliness and unable to connect with others: It takes such a toll on some people to try and force themselves to adjust according to their roommates, colleagues and the so called fun things-parties and night outs. It is already so hard to find people who think like you and let you be, on top of professional pressure, peer pressure takes a toll on us.
2. The low pay and bad living conditions: I get mad at people who say that everyone has to experience such shitty living conditions to appreciate what is given to us by our parents. My answer to those blabber mouths? I already appreciate it and have had my fair share of it already in College and I refuse to live that way again. Period!
3. Why to pay 50% of your salary on rent ad high food costs: Let me be clear here, I'm not trying to live off of what my parents feed me, what i want to do is pay for the food, electricity and all other expenses in my parents house and not get caught in the high rents landlords in these big cities hoard from me, because to be honest they are over charging you by at least 40%.
4. Don't need no drama: Let's be real here, living in a totally different city with the majority of youngsters who just want to waste their time, spend on booze and junk food and bitch about whoever they see until they pass out. FACE PALM, i refuse to live like that, i need a simple quiet life when I am back from my work, which is enough to suck you of any joy in the world.
I think these reasons are enough to stop bantering the boomerang generation. The unemployed who stay at home just so they don't have to work are the ones who need to be roughed up and for the sake of sanity don't go labeling everyone. YOU'RE HYPOCRITICAL JUDGMENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED :P
