Proud of myself

2014 is coming to an end as i am writing this post ending the year pleased with myself. Some of us make resolutions for the new year, but i think instead of making a resolution list I would gladly end this year by giving myself a pat on the shoulder. I don't feel like making resolutions because it has never worked for me personally. Therefore, what I would like to do on my personal blog which I know no one else is reading, is to write a post for my future self. I am proud of myself this year, have been through rough times which are not worth mentioning, had my first job which I wasn't totally proud of but still I have achieved a lot according to "me". I know there is a lot to look forward to and I will have to work harder in achieving a state of both happiness and satisfaction, but I can only do that by reminding myself that I have tried whole year and am still going to try my best next year and the years to come.

So here I begin, I am proud of finishing my masters repelling every negative force in the world and by dealing with all the idiots around me. I am proud of myself for mustering up the courage to express my opinions, no matter how unconventional they were, and being true to myself. I am also proud for realizing what it is that I want to live for and not being afraid of walking the path towards achieving my own goals. For me it is not about money or social acceptance, it is about doing what satisfies my soul and gives me a reason to look forward to my future. I am proud of myself for accepting my life as it is and being totally happy with what I already have. It is not much to but it's enough for me and I am proud of everything.

PS: goodbye 2014 and I hope you never come back :)))))))))))))))))))))))

FOLLOW YOUR OWN ADVICE

Given the current scenario, it is proven that the best type of people are who make their own decisions and learn from their own mistakes rather than following people's advice. Most certainly no one out there is going to help you in bad times, therefore, it is better to follow your own instincts. Smarter people don't seek advice and definitely don't need any. They can make a commitment, break it, dissect it or simply ignore it, but, on their own conditions and intuitive behavior. What we should teach the masses is not to be like others and use their own brains where it is needed and never blame others for any mistake or they've done. Life just has a way to slap you in the face and change your perceptions about time, money, relations, friendships and what not. No explanations are needed when one makes his/her own mistakes and learns from them instead of asking others on what is the best path towards any goal. The main thing is to be yourself and follow your own path to reach the end destination, which is simply death, but can be eternal salvation depending upon one's way of thinking.

Businesses don't want College grads. Why?

A recent study showed that nearly 70 percent of corporate recruiters said that their company has a hard time managing its younger generation of workers. Among the perceptions from the survey were that recent college graduates are harder to retain, lack a strong work ethic and are not as willing to pay their dues as previous generations were.

This study gives rise to the question "Is College worth the investment?". Many parents and students said that they are slowly losing hope in colleges due to the huge debts and unemployment or underemployment rates. Some of the preparation that businesses find lacking comes in the area of hard skills, such as technical knowledge and writing ability. Much of it, however, relates to behavior. Nearly 75 percent of the survey’s older respondents said they think younger employees don’t have a strong work ethic, and another 70 percent said young workers today are not willing enough to put in time at the bottom of the organization.

It is the job of the faculty and College administration to better prepare the students for the job market by making them technically and ethically sound. With the privatization of Educational Institutes, more and more are just hoarding money from the students and not giving them the required skills, knowledge and training. Just wonder who is to blame here? The Student or the College Education System?

Gender stereotypes and myths

Human beings have evolved from apes, tons of theories and research has been done on this phenomenon by human beings for ages. Yet the question that arises is that with such high functioning brains, why can't we beat the stereotypical thinking of people around us? Being a woman, Every soul bas always been put to gender biases either intentionally or unintentionally. With so many disbeliefs about the role of a woman in the society, it's time to break out of the myths and perceptions of how women should behave, live and carry on with the burden of bearing offsprings.
With the rise in economy and development, the mentality that women should suffer in silence because apparently that's what they were born for, is slowly shattering. Many successful women don't want to get married and gave children succumbing to the monotony of life after all of it. Many will agree with me regarding the physical and mental sufferings we've been put to for generations just because the so called 'men' have always been the domination. And its not just the fault of a man, even women in general do not wish to break the barriers of gender bias because they want approval of the society. Well for such people its a slap to the face as more and women are taking charge and dumping the idea of marriage and child birth. With the ever growing population and lack of resources, it's time that we women start using logic and reason ability to take charge in curbing the problems of gender biases and stereotypes.
